The wine is deep red with obvious brick tones in the glass. The soft smoky oak characters with velvety berry fruit tones. The palate starts with obvious tannin dryness but is quickly met by the combination of oak and Blackcurrent fruit tones. The tannins are full and give very good length to the fruit. Due to the three-years -maturation the wine exhibits added complexity as the fruit and tannins have softened and combined with the oak vanillan and chariness. The wine can be aged for further five years for those with an interest in the wine as it adopts some earthy bottle aged characters as earlier vintages have been done.
